NFL lockout
I know it's still a long way away, but everyone seems to think a deal won't get done before the season, if at all during the season. Adam Mortensen (I think thats his name) was on Sportcenter today saying that, if and when there is a lockout players and coaches will not be able to meet and talk football related issues, and that players would not be able to train at team facilities, etc. He also said there will be a meeting today to disscuss the rules of the lockout and he willfind out more then.
Anyways I was wondering what kind of effect this will have on graphing the NFL TMM and IP?
I don't think it will be easy if a lockout does happen, just wondering what you guys think it will be like?

Graphing will not exist if there is a lockout, unless you see a player at the local gym or store.

Nothing good will come from a lockout in ANY aspect of life, and least of all autos. I doubt that local radio shows that host players (i.e. Brent Celek in Philly) will happen if there is nothing to talk about, and obviously you can't send c/o the team to get players.
Guys like Peyton Manning should still sign c/o a foundation, and guys that sign c/o home should still be ok, but the VAST majority of players probably will be unreachable.
However also it may lead to guys who usually sign c/o team sign c/o home, we might all just have to research the new addresses.
It would be hard to take the whole football season off from TTM, wouldn't it? I'd probably focus on college.

It's actually 8 days until the CBA expires.
My money says they throw something together at the last minute to have a season. The NFL is too big for this, I can't believe the owners are this dumb and greedy.
NFL is my bread and butter of TTM'ing, it would suck not having it.

I agree with RGP. Think something will get done. Maybe its wishful thinking on my part. But I bet if current players have foundation addresses, those will work that normally would be a long shot. Thinking is the players want to keep fans happy & on there side ( not that ANY of us would side with the owners anyways).

Too bad there is no lower leagues for players to go play in like with the NHL lockout. I remember graphing the AHL and you could get all the big name NHL stars who stood around North America.

the UFL exists expressly for this reason- a college buddy who studied sports management talked to me about this. He is an exec for them- he said their whole business' long term success was predicated on a lockout.

Yes that does exist. Thats where all the guys who can't cut it in the NFL go. Plus older NFL veterans. I have seen a few on the rosters, even some coaches. They are bad for TTM autos though. I couldn't even find any addresses really. I may have found something but was skeptical to send.
Also there is Arena Football. Peter Warrick signed thru his team.

But in a lockout the guys could potentially play there is the point I was making. And if a guy was a good signer in the NFL, he probably will be in the UFL.
