I'm not a big fan of Perkins but I think you have to hold on to him in case the O'Neal's go down.I like the addition of Jeff Green though.Should fit in nicely w/Boston

Great trade for the Thunder. Not sure what the Celtics are thinking - Green is a nice, young, versatile type, but he's not worth the loss of a big considering their lineup and how they match up with contenders like the Lakers. They needed Kendrick last year, and they sill do. Krstic is not a banger and does not have the strong body of Perkins in the paint - he's basically a poor man's Mehmet Okur. The Thunder, on the other hand, would be getting more muscle in the post and a spunky backup to Westbrook.

The Boston Celtics with this trade ruined any hopes for a championship..they traded their starting center and top energy guy for Nenad Kristic and Jeff Green who will be a bench player?

I'm a huge Celtics fan and not sure about this deal. We win because of size and defense which we lose with the loss of Perk. I like Green but he'll be coming off the bench. Unless I'm missing something about Krstic, he won't fill the void of Perk.

WOW, the Thunder are scary now with Perkins! I'm really not too sure why the Celtics will give up there defensive anchor though, doesn't make much sense, Perkins is the type of player you need in the playoffs.

I think you are overvaluing Perkins.
Jeff Green, off the bench, will log solid minutes to rest KG's Knees and can be a serviceable defender plus a good scorer. Good young player.
Nenad will be another body in the paint.
I actually like this deal better for the Celts just for Green alone who is an underated player in this league.

I actually think the C's are gonna use Green as a small forward. They have been talking about how they wanna find someone to back up Pierce. He can also back up KG though.

Celtics also traded Harangody and Erhdin (sp?) to Cleveland for a 2013 2nd round pick.
