Hasheem Thabeet to Houston
Yahoo! is reporting that the Rockets have traded swingman Shane Battier to Memphis for Hasheem Thabeet and a first-round pick.
Battier was a fan favorite in Memphis and will be again, and will hurt the value of Sam Young, or possibly Tony Allen. Thabeet is still not ready to make a huge impact, but given Houston's lack of a center, they might use him early and often, making him an intriguing fantasy pick up if you're desperate at center. Battier is worth a look, but the Grizz now have a bit of a logjam with Young, Allen, Mayo and Battier, possibly creating a fantasy mess.

Wow, Houston did it again.
The first rounder alone is good for the aging Battier and now they can take their time and work on the Thabeet Project.
