anybody else watch this, my wife sings and performs so we have to watch, but ive actually been impressed with some of the people this year

I watch the auditions and hollywood week and then eject. I haven't been able to watch the episodes from this week but probably won't watch after this week. They just draw things out way too much after this point. I like the highlights of the good and bad people of the stuff before the main competition starts.

I agree there are a lot of very impressive contestants this season.

I couldn't get through the Beatles stuff and the fake drama of last week. I watched about 15 minutes of the first show before ejecting and then about 30 minutes of the selection show, but they dragged it out so much with all of the past highlights and junk. I couldn't take it and didn't care enough.

This is idols fatal flaw in me watching past this spot. They have a popular product and just drag stuff out by adding too much unneeded fluff. I get it's a show and they need content but produce content. Don't fill a show by giving us highlights of stuff that most of the viewing audience saw last week. We watched. We remember so and so that sang such and such song. There's no reason to have half of the show be past content and awkward pauses to freak the singers out a little.

Same here, I noticed something different over the past few years though, the amount of bad people didnt get so much coverage this time, they focused much more on those who can actually sing. I like watching the bad people who think they're good though personally

I don't watch the final 24 and so on, but if I were to root for someone, it'd be that James kid, because like him, my brother is also autistic and has asbergers (sp) as well like he does, so i think its cool someone with a 'disability' is showing off their talent on TV.

yea they covered the good people way more than the wierd people. and last night that james durbin did really good, he was definatley in the top 2 or 3 of the guys
