    Blues Waive Ty Conklin

    http://sports.espn.go.com/nhl/news/story?id=6161402

Conklin and Pacal LeClaire (Senators) both placed on waivers.

Guess Ben Bishop's 39 save shutout against the Oilers convinced STL that they no longer need Conks. I believe Halak is expected to return from the IR. Any ideas as to who will claim him? I was expecting him to be traded.

I have a Pascal LeSieve worthless SP card which will be even more worthless now, if that is at all possible.

Yeah sadly, it's pretty much worthless. Wasn't he a fairly highly touted prospect back in 2003 or so?

Especially after the year he had 9 shutouts. Sens were really high on him but then the injury bug struck big time.

Habs fan and collector! Current PC's: Nick Suzuki, Cole Caufield, and Lane Hutson...., and of course...

This is surprising considering he was doing pretty good for a while... maybe the Wings will bring him back for the rest of the year.

Most Blues fans were expecting a trade to the Wings was inevitable, it kinda suprised me that they waived him before the trade deadline.

    Cool

It doesn't surprise me. With Ben Bishop and Jake Allen, There's not much future with Ty in St Louis. You'll see Halak moved as well (no time soon). The NHL loves their big goalies, and Ben is as big as they come.

I have three of his Cup cards, anyone interested then send me a PM.

Gotta agree there, Allen has looked beastly in Peoria (although he has cooled off slightly lately). If you have any Bishop The Cup parallels, I would be interested (Already have the base RC).

Well, with Halak and Bishop in net for the Blues it's not a surprise that they don't need Conklin anymore. Hope he's still able to find an NHL club. If not, it would be cool to see him play in Europe for a few seasons.
