Send it Back?
I made a trade on here with a newer memeber and got the card today.
They shipped in a PWE taped between pieces of cardboard. They only taped two sides so the card slid down and took a pretty good ding on a corner, plus is has ink smears on both sides of the card that weren't disclosed.
What do you do in this situation? Send it back and tell them you are canceling the trade or just bite the bullet and finish the trade?

There was no mention of the PWE. That part doesn't bother me as much as the not using a toploader or really securing it in the cardboard.

PWE? I'm assuming plain white envelope...
If the shipping method was unsatisfactory, and damage resulted from it, then absolutely return the card.
I have not yet begun trading on the forum, but when I do, I will be explicit about how the cards I ship will be packaged. It costs less than a dollar to get a padded envelope. A penny holder, a top-loader and a team bag should be the standard.

Yes, PWE means Plain White Envelope
as far as the packaging, Padded mailer is normal, PWE has to be agreed upon before shipment.

I agree with the others send it back. I hate it when I agree to a trade and then get the ard in a Pwe. Sending Items in a Pwe is a no no. When cards are in a Pwe it means that item is machinable. Which usually leads to damage. That and there is really no excuse for sending PWE anymore. More and More it seems that folks here wait till they receive before they ship. So why not just reuse the Padded envelope they just received? I for one send all my stuff in padded envelopes.

I'd definitely send it back. The other member didn't take proper care to ensure that the item arrived in acceptable condition.
