TSN reporting that Justin Williams (the guy that just about removed Saku Koivu's eye) has re-signed with the Kings - 4yr/$14.6M extension. Another one off the market.

Kings overpaying again just like the mess they started with Visnovsky. They start out with quarters, then get Vegas Fever, and start throwing money around like madmen.

Over 4 million per for Williams? The marginal NHLers will be licking their chops when they see this. Good thing the Cap has increased.

3.65 per for FOUR years for Williams? I don't understand Lombardi. He is hesitant to do any deals no matter the magnitude of them yet he feels its great to sign a complete bandaid for 4 years at a pretty big cap hit. I know Williams is finally having a good year after being injury riddled for years but that 3.65M cap could have been well used this off-season to get Richards in. I know they have lots of cap room but I just don't understand DL at times.
