Frustrated with Panini redemptions process
I cant even talk to customer service wait on hold forever than they make u leave a message when did this start? I left my info for somebody to call me back 3x now and nothing. I asked for a replacement for a auto I have been waiting for since August 2010 in January and still nothing. I write in my redemption section for help and NOBODY ever replies there. Why bother having it? Seems it would be easier that way than answering phones. Not only that they owe me a KOBE auto /25 god knows when ill get that. You think they would have them already seeing he is there top guy.I have 5 total redemption's in with them 3 of them are from August wanted to see if it was easier to get a replacement or just wait for the redemption at this point might as well just wait it out. Sorry just had to rant.

Yeah, I'm keep posting on my redemption page in my account asking for any update but no response at all.
As stated earlier in other threads. I submitted my redemption for D-Will auto in Dec, at that time the live version of the card already hit eBay. Almost 3 months passed and I still didn't get the card that already in their hand before I submitted the code yet. Totally unacceptable.
Not to mention about other redemptions I have and the questions I sent to them, which also didn't get any responses at all.

Well some do get redeemed fast, i got my John Wall in yesterday from Timeless Treasures after only a few weeks of waiting. On the other side though im still waiting on 3x James Johnson auto's i redeemed may 2010, so they already passed the maximum 8 month term and still nothing. I think i have a total of about 30-40 redemptions pending with Panini, but i guess i wont be seing some of those cards for a long time.
Redemption problems was one of the main problems with Upper Deck (and look what it did for them!), so i think Panini should really adress this issue seriously because it can make or break their succes. Plus in most cases you're talking about redemptions for sticker auto's which i think is even more unacceptable! At least the UD redemptions where for on-card auto's most of the time, which i dont mind waiting a little longer for. But more than 8 months for sticker auto redemptions is not acceptable!
I saw a boxbreak of 09-10 contenders that had redemptions in it expiring 7/2011, while some of us waiting to receive cards from products released before contenders! So any boxes you break after 1 to 1,5 years after release are pretty much worthless considering how many (by then) expired redemptions are in them.
I just hope Panini will start realising how important it is to collectors to have as few possible redemptions in a product and as much as possible on-card auto's. And when they do need to us those redemptions, handle it swiftly!

Panini's customer service was great when they first bought out Donruss,but after the newness wore off it seems like they are like every other sportscard customer service.It really is a lost art,you would think these companies would be happy we still buy their cards in these economic times.I've never had a problem with Panini,but I'm in the same boat as you guys,waiting forever on redemptions gets old.What really irks me is they can make you wait till after the expiration date to send you your redemption,but heaven forbid you send upperdeck or topps an expired redemption,all you'll get from them is a sorry we can't help you.

For the past week Panini has been involved in moving their corporate office. As such they have not had somebody manning the phones to handle inquiries and such. They tweeted late yesterday the following:
The move is officially complete and the phone service that has been down since Thursday is finally back up. We appreciate your patience.
Try giving them a jingle today. Hope it works out for you.
Habs fan and collector! Current PC's: Nick Suzuki, Cole Caufield, and Lane Hutson...., and of course...

Ive never heard of panini until a few weeks ago, but i cant believe that you cant even get ahold of a company that you buy products from. Even if they are moving you should atleast be able to get ahold of em. Thats a nice card you got coming man, just try and be patient man it'll be worth it in the end.

@RGM81,
It is not as much about not being able to contact them about this because of a move. I can understand that contact will be difficult when moving.
It is about people buying a product. In this product you receive a card that is not actually in it (redemption). So instead of card manufacturing companies feeling bad about not delivering what they promised and trying to do everything possible to make their customers happy. They instead put short expiration dates on their redemption cards, they take longer than the max 8 months they promise to have the redemption fullfilled in, and when you get a replacement it is usually much lower in value or of a totally different player/team (most commonly with UD).
There should be no expiration date on redemptions to begin with, it is something i bought, i paid money to get those cards. It is not my problem they have to have a big warehouse to stash all those cards that have to be send out as part of redeemed redemptions. I have not asked to get a redemption card, they should realise that when putting those redemptions in products.
