They could suspend him for the rest of the season and it would probably be more beneficial to the islanders. The guy plays like 2 minutes a game? Im not sure why they are wasting a roster spot on him.

It's a shame that Gillies gave Cluster_uck a head shot, as the original penalty on Cal should have been a major itself. That was a lousy headshot as well.

While I'm not condoning headshots, Buttercluck is one guy I don't mind hearing about getting something in return for what he himsef tends to do.
He's not on the same level as Cooke and Avery, but he's on the same graph.

Not saying what Gillies did was right..... but sticking up for his team mates is what they're paying for, and what he did here.
Clutterbuck runs DiBenedetto, and Gillies runs Clutterbuck. (No, two wrongs don't make a right, but retribution has been going on in this league forever. You really surprised?)
As for a Suspension, I'm calling two games, four max. Probably nothing. You have to remember, the NHL only suspends players if they injure someone else.... and Clutterbuck looked fine to me.

And he's going to be called on the carpet today too - in-person meeting with the NHL. This usually means it'll be a minimum of 5 games off.
