Here is my first Custom try

I have been wanting to try it for a while, and I've gotten lots of help from this board! Thanks for the help, and eventually I would like to try something harder, but I thought I should start easily. The biggest problem I am having is cutting out the player, and making it look smooth. So how should I do that? Also I couldn't really find a great picture to use for this player, so if you have any please let me know. Also would this look okay if I get it signed in blue?

Thanks! I used photoshop cs4, and cs5 for the cutting. My computer doesn't have enough ram for cs5, but I used my brother's for the cutting. It's a LOT easier with cs5 because it has refine edges and a smoothing tool after you make the selection. Once I figure out how to do some more complex things, I'm definately going to do some Tigers. Blair White is from here, so I should be able to get him sometime and that's why I went with him. If anyone has tips on how to make other designs I would appreciate it. I just used motion blur for this one on the advice of bigga.

    Wow.

I wouldn't worry about your 'edge work' because it looks very well done. Nice custom. Good job.

Thanks! I love all the compliments, and also any ideas and how to do them would be great as well.

Yeah! It would show up real good assuming he signs near the waist of the player image. Black would look good too.
