What's the difference - 05-06 SPX Spectrum?
Hey guys. I was lucky enough to grab another Howe 1/1, 2005-06 SPx Flashback Fabrics Spectrum auto. This one made no mention of being a 1/1 in it's auction description, but was visible in the auction scan, it's above the 'hb' in 'Flashback' on the front. I've checked other ebay Flashback auctions to try and find out what the difference between this 1/1 and the regular un-numbered version, so far without holding them side by side, I can't. If anyone has one and could give me a heads-up I would appreciate it.
By the way, the card in person is virtually flawless, the scratches and dots are on the scan bed.

Gold Upper Deck hologram on back?? I dunno?

With the other cards in the set it can be equally tough to tell. When I compare my Gorges RC to the Spectrum /25 version there's very little that makes it distinctive. The gold foil on the Spectrum version is refractive (hence Spectrum LOL) whereas on the regular version it's just a solid gold without any rainbow effect.
Great pickup!

while i can't help you too much because i took those few years off (hell of a few years to pick i know.....) but i did have a question
Did you get a steal on that because the seller didn't know it was a 1/1? If it wasn't mentioned, did he know??Please check my inventory before my photobucket!!! It's more up to date!!!

Thanks for the help RGM81, you would think UD would do a better job to differentiate a 1/1 from a regular version. Kinda sad when a 1/1 looks almost identical to a regular except for the tiniest bit of foiling and the 1/1 stamping.
@comfortably9numb, I don't know whether or not I got a 'steal' on this one. The seller did not have any mention in his auction as far as being a 1/1, in fact, I passed over this auction a handful of times because I thought his starting price ($499) was rather high for what I thought was the the un-numbered version. My friend later pointed out the 1/1 designation after the auction ended with no bidder. I emailed the seller a handful of times and he lowered his starting price to $399, I offered $300, then $350, when it went unsold for what seems like 6 times, he took my offer of $350. You can see his auction link below. It's hard to notice the 1/1 but it's there, had he mentioned it his auction or title, I'm sure it would have been alot easier to sell, from what I've heard, these cards were pretty hard to pull.
