Help with a Dispute on SportsBuy
Hey guys,
Have a lil issue and need some help. I just received an email from a customer filing a dispute for a transaction 2 months ago saying he didn't receive the cards he had purchase from me. I replied to him and told him that it was very odd that he never replied to any of my emails regarding our transaction, and out of the blue he files a dispute 2 months down the road.
I called SportsBuy and explained the situation and they cancelled the dispute. However, he keeps emailing and telling me that I'm the one that has scammed him. He now has again filed for dispute but here's the thing. He filed for dispute on 8 different transactions and ONLY ONE of them is an actual transaction with me. He's requesting a reversal on seven transactions that I have never even been involved with him in.
I feel I have done the right thing to contact him directly and try to resolve this, but I'm just not about to have him screw me out of my money because he files for a dispute 2 months down the road.
What do you guys think? I know a lot of you have experience with these kind of issues so I'd appreciate any help on how I should proceed with this siutation.
Thanks
Brady

Sounds like the buyer cant remember recieved the card so just going after people, just bring it back up to support and see what happens, they should check and see if he has done this before and just trying to scam poeple out of money

This is the reason I quit selling on that site... Happened to me twice within a month period so I was done... I used to use DC for everything but threw them out 2-3 weeks after shipping assuming if i didnt hear anything I was fine.... Came back to bite me on a few occasions.

Tutall) Thanks for replying and sharing. Good thing is the SB staff has been good to deal with. Not sure if it was like this previously but they have tightened up their policy regarding posting a dispute. I called in right away, and the guy removed the dispute for me after hearing my explanation. It was a hassle from the buyer, but it was good to have the support of SportsBuy on this one.

I got burned once after throwing away a DC number after a couple weeks on ebay. I have all my DCs in a box now and I don't discard them until I receive positive feedback.

Sounds good...again thanks for replying. I thought it was only necessary on higher end items, but finding out otherwise.
