nothing wrong with that - redemption was expired and by no means do they have to give something
so he got something basically for nothing
no where does it say he will get the same card/same type of card back for an EXPIRED redemption

This happened to me. Redeemed Dual Patch Auto Patrick Roy /25 from UD Black. Got a Brodeur Dual Jersey Auto from UD Ultimate, and both jerseys were white! When I called UD they basically told me to fly a kite, not in that many words.
BUT at least they sent something, they could have screwed you worse by sending nothing right?

You should never ask for one player only. That is the reason you got what you wanted.

In my case, i opened it about 18 months after it came out. You could always ask them anyway, it can't hurt.

well i did not send them the doughty i just sent scans so i didnt loose the card but there is not much i can do with a card as damaged as that.. i was thinking when they said a patch card in return i told them can i get a patch of duchene.. they said sure... i didnt think it took 12 weeks to get me a 2$ duchene jersey card... they also said my products was too old (08-09) to replace that wasnt the problem.. its the fact that i receive a 2$ card in return for a damaged patch /35! im not mad about the duchene i got its just i wanted more than just a little duchene jersey card... some of you may have gotten confused wether or not i sent the card im very sorry for the misunderstanding:S

some weeks ago i sent pictures of a damaged card (08-09 Black Diamond Gold /10 Luca Sbisa RC) to UD along with pictures of the Boxnumber.
they opened a case, let me keep the card and sent me:
they told me that my product is too old to get a replacement,but that they will at least send something.
i am happy with my unexpected cards.
