Nothing at all. If you want, and are willing to pay more than anyone else to get them, go for it.

Anyone that would whine about something like that does not understand the concept of a hobby.

The beauty of the hobby is you can buy whatever you would like and collect whatever you want. As stated multiple times in this thread, if you can afford it feel free to collect as many of any particular card as you'd like. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise, it's Capitalism at it's finest!

definitely not wrong at all to own more than 1 card.
Its not your problem if the other person is mad because he couldn't buy the card in the first place. You were the one to pay for it, the other guy DIDN'T. First come first serve; finders keepers.

Nothing is stopping you from helping another collector out down the line too. I'm among a few Spezza collectors on here and I know that if I had a dupe of a card they were looking for I'd do the deal with them. If you want to get a rainbow, go ahead.

Its your time and money. If you want to buy vintage Nike Jordans from every year or collect airline toy wings they give kids, its your right in a free economy. Just remember you may be creating a demand for that card. Lets say you get 80 of 100. People who are doing a set are going to panic and start paying more, making you pay more.

Some may think its wrong, but whatever floats your boat. I have some multiples of Ian White, but that was only cuz the price was right or they were available.
