I personally don't own more than one copy of a card, because of the money side.

If I see a sig on a non-sig produced card - like TTM or signed in person - I'll pick that up! But apart from that, I don't see a problem in obtaining more than one. Go for it!

It all depends on your attitude about it. There's a guy online that collects a certain LA goalie's press plates ( he already has several dozens of them in fact) and is begging people to trade any he's missing to him because 'hoarding' one in any other personal collection than his is an affront to hockey collecting since he was the first person to amass a large number of them.

If he had a different attitude, I wouldn't feel the urge to try and find one and keep it in my PC just to ruin his. It certainly helps that i also really like this goalie since i've seen him play lots during his junior days...

I feel good since I own all 10 out of 10 cards of Steven Stamkos OPC Premier quad patches 2009-10. I pulled one in a case I bought and was able to purchase the other 9 from someone on this forum. But I am a Stamkos collector, so my intention is to keep the cards. They look good in my bucket!

nothing wrong at all. If I had all 99 cup crosby /99 rcs, I would burn 98 of them and keep 1 only.
