What's this ebay seller doing?
I won a few cards from a seller, but instead of getting an updated invoice, I got a paypal request for money. What's going on? Never seen this before, is this okay?

Never seen that before and I have purchased over 450 items on ebay.
The bottom line is paypal insures. As long as there is a reference to the items purchased personally i would not worry.

As long as you intend to pay with PayPal you should be fine I think.

Its possible the seller doesn't know how to send an invoice and sent a request for money. Tell them to send an invoice. Shouldn't matter too much but you never know with paypal. Whatever you do don't send the money as a gift either!

ask for proper invoice, otherwise contact seller and paypal to sort this out.

is it to save on some sort of ebay fee? It's a paypal invoice, but just not linked to ebay. The description just says 3 cards. This is what I think.
Can anyone confirm?

yes its to save ebay fees for the seller, but if reported, your account maybe frozen so just be careful.

They said that it was because the invoice had already been issued and because I added 1 more card, they couldn't resend the invoice (which I find odd, because I'm pretty sure I've had updated invoices after the original has been issued).
