As long as the offer will be higher than demand, prices will stay low. There are too many nice Tavares cards available on the market.

In the grand scheme of things, Tavares wasnt THAT hot last year either, compared to say Kane and price in 07-08, Malkin in 06-07 and the 05-06 Class. Stamkos cards in his Rookie year and early in his second year were reasonable all things considered. Geography is everything pretty much, and after youre rookie year and your on the Island, its like hockey purgatory.

Very true. People very quickly came to that realization in 08-09 when they were snapping up Steve Mason RC's at ridiculous prices.

Poor Saps. That and the idiots who sold 3 or 4 Stamkos SPA's for $40-50 a piece and an Ice /99 for about $300, like myself. Wish i could have that one back!

This has more to do with it being a common GU piece than the player. Even Stamkos and Crosby jerseys don't go for more than $10 usually.

But even Patrick Kane is now "cold" in the hobby. His cards are almost impossible to sell at decent price, and difficult to trade. There are not tons of guys keeping the hype after the first 1-2 years.
