That's just the thing...there's plenty more just like that. These aren't steals, these are the going rate for a John Tavares jersey card in March 2011.

There is a lot of Crown out there, but the Price Scratching The Surface autos are still going as high as $80 some nights. I only quickly searched through the Tavares results but I don't recall seeing anything over $10 for those GU's.

lol that is funny but I was never a fan of the hype. I'm interested in seeing if Crosby calls it quits or if he's just sitting out this season.

Most of those who were buying Tavares RC's are one of two things. A) They were a set builder, or B) They're the collector that collected Tavares last year, Hall/Eberle this year, Nugent-Hopkins or Courtier next year, and the next big Rookie the year after that. It happens ever year, and not just with the high end rookies, with some lower ones too. I really see no surprise here. They lose interest because that player isn't a rookie anymore, maybe he isn't performing how they thought he would, or realize they know nothing about the player other than the fact that he was the #1 draft pick.

Many factors here including Panini doubling up an already swamped market, trend collectors and economy along with other stuff can acount for those prices. Lol b.i.n. prices under $5, that's almost funny.
Collecting:Leafs Matthews, Marner, Nylander, Conacher, Horner, Broda, Bower, Clark, Gilmour and others.

Agree it never changes. Although it sucks if thats your team or player you collect when they come right out high. So far I've been lucky all my Wings are relatively inexpensive and affordable. (unless I'm on ebay and battling another die hard wings fan.)
