BTP or SPA?
Hey everyone
I was debating if I should buy spa or btp thus year. Spa has hard signed, clean autos with autos from Crosby and Stamkos, plus nice Seguin and Hall fw autos, while btp has sweet game used goalie gear, plus it also helps that I collect btp stuff. Which product to choose from? I'm leaning toward spa, but wanted to hear other peoples opinions.
Cheers,
Andrew

Ive always really liked SP Authentic. Its probobly the product I have bought the most of EVER ( buying for 16 years now ). I like the clean hard signed rookies, up to 8 player autos ... couple patches per case ... I wasnt planning on picking up any rookies from this year but I will for sure be buying a Hall FW Au RC /999 ( IMO the best designed rookies year after year )
Buuuuuuuuuuuut ive kind of been hooked on BTP stuff for the past little bit ...... the pieces are so unique even if its JUST a jersey
Here's some pics to help you make up your mind
! ( pssst choose BTP )
Complete Jerseys / Numbers / Emblems / Packages / Sticks !

The Bernier / Quick / Sawchuk is what got my hooked in the 1st place! The Sawchuk piece is AWESOME! I also collected Bernier more so at the time of purchase

Best "Jersey" card I have ever seen!

You also said in your post, "plus it also helps that I collect btp stuff." So buy what you collect!

Between the Pipes is probably the most unique and awesome set of the year. Great design, awesome quote of inserts and lots of high-end goalies to collect (there are many goalie collectors out there, and they'll be interested in the hits from the box). Definetly go with 10/11 BTP. That's my opinion. GL on the box(es)!

While I really like the looks of BTP, I would say SPA. With that said, I do find many UD releases "front-end heavy" so to speak in the first couple of weeks. Last year's SPA is a classic example where it definitely seemed like there were more that 2 patches auto's per case. In my mind it makes sense, because people will buy the product if they see great hits coming out of it for the first while.

I think the finest cards will be from BTP. But for the overall product, if you expect to resell, SPA is the product to get. ITG, even if it is great, is difficult to sell for good coin.

I would go BTP. From a collector standpoint, it's always a fun set to work on. From a viewers standpoint, the jserseys and patches are always a nice treat on the eyes

Both boxes will be good for Autographs.... so what I would say is this:
-More into Rookies?
-More into Memoribilia?
The Memoribilia that you'll get in the BTP should be much better than the SPA.... but you're not going to get any rookie cards.

SP all the way. You can pick up singles from BTP for nickels later.
