    Rookie Card Question

So what is the definition of a rookie card? Here is my easiest example of where my confusion may be...

Contenders 09 -- Hansbrough Rookie Ticket vs. Rookie of the Year Contender Insert.

Are both considered rookies? They are both printed in his rookie year.

A "True Rookie Card" is the card apart of the base set not a parallel or insert. The Rookie of the Year Contender Insert is considered a "rookie year insert" not a rc.

I hope that helped you out with your question.
