Heatley gets 2 ???????
Is this not what the NHL is talking about? It doesn't matter that it was Steve Ott, ???? That was a BLATANT attempt to injure the player. NOBODY'S elbows stick out that far . . .lol.
What if, say, Steve Ott had done that to, say, Dany Heatley? Does anyone really think Ott would have gotten only 2 for it? Really ?
C'mon, NHL. Let's get some form of standardized penalties and STICK to them.Last edited by RGM81; 03-17-2011 at 07:38 AM.

My point, in a nutshell...."star player"...it shouldn't matter whether it was Heatley, Ott, or goofball from NYI Gillies, that should have been a 10 - gamer....BLATANT attempt to injure.

A "star player" and also I'm guessing because Ott wasn't hurt which is stupid.Collecting:Leafs Matthews, Marner, Nylander, Conacher, Horner, Broda, Bower, Clark, Gilmour and others.

I was thinking the same, Ott was completely fine and it was blatant, but not effective at all if he was trying to hurt Ott.

For sure that deserved more than 2 games as it was a open and shut blatent head shot. And Marchand deserved more than two as well but he only got two so as they would not be showing a double standard on the same day. Both are very blatent elbows to the head and shoudl have had the same punishment which should have been onger for both
