Two years ago, Boston goalie Tim Thomas broke onto the scene by winning the Vezina Trophy. An unlikely candidate at the beginning of that season, Thomas posted a 2.10 GAA, .933 SP and a 36-11-7 record to take home the award.

The following season wasn’t so memorable, though, as Thomas’ numbers dipped and youngster Tuukka Rask assumed No. 1 duties into the post-season. However, once again Thomas is surprising everyone by leading the league in SP and GAA as he regained a hold on the top job in Boston and is easily favored to win his second Vezina in two seasons. http://www.thehockeynews.com/article...daily_20110318
