Any other large Base sets planned this year?
Being a collector of Cavaliers base cards this has been a pretty slow and boring year of collecting. With only Panini in the fold it seems to take forever between sets, and every set except a couple have had just 100 card base sets. On top of that Panini seems to only make rookies cards of players who were drafted.
I'm relatively new to collecting basketball cards and was wondering if anyone knew if there would be any large base sets that might still be released this year? At the moment all we have gotten is Donruss with 7 per team. Adrenalyn would be the largest with 10 per team, but it is kind of a card/game hybrid and not sure if it totally counts.
I know last year they released Panini Basketball with 300 base and 100 rookies, but it doesn't look like anything like that is coming out this year. Is my only hope to wait and see if they do Panini Update again? I also hope at some point they add some of contributing rookies not taken in the 2010 Draft.

I think the Donruss set was Panini's replacement for their Panini Basketball from last year. I thought both of those products were good for the money.

With basketball season winding down I doubt that there will be any more low end base sets produced for this season. I'm not sure if you already tried it but you may want to look into panini adrenalyn xl basketball. They usually have at least 10 different cards per team.
