Sending Overseas (Specifically, England)
Hi,
I am looking for a little help. I've mailed all across the US and Canada (a few times), but sending overseas is a different kind of beast.
I really want to send to an actor c/o his agency in London, but I haven't the slightest clue as to how I am supposed to get it to him.
I'm sure I can figure this out if I go to the post office, but I do not know when that'll be. Plus, I would like to rely on ya'll expertise first.
Thank you!

There isn't anything different in sending overseas. You just need to put an other stamp. A $0.98 one will be fine, this is what I put on my SASE and it always work.

No you need a UK stamp but sending 2 dollar bills should be fine. That worked out for me many time before.

Yeah, that's what I do when I'm sending to canada.
You need a $0.98 stamp for the envelope containing your request (no more than one ounce) and 2 dollars for your SASE.

Okay. Yeah, I figured what I said was wrong and I needed Brit postage. Thanks for all of the help, I completely understand now.
Thank You.

I usually send $2 per request or get IRCs from USPS.com, they do seem to take forever though! I have gotten tons this way though- good luck!

I'm looking to send to Karl Pilkington over there eventually so this thread helped me out too. Thanks. Good luck with your send out.

An Idiot Abroad? The guy is an absolute idiot, I should send something to him as well.

Don't mean to hijack the thread but yes that same Karl Pilkington. If you liked the show, you need to buy/download the entire Ricky Gervais Podcast series, it is absolutely hilarious. It's what we listened to the entire road trip from Houston to Vegas. I have all the books he's written so I'm a big fan. Once again sorry for hijacking the thread for those two posts.
