    Question on trader rating

Before I do a trade I always check the other persons feedback. Here is the question.

What is the most positive feedback you have ever seen on this site without the person having negative feedback. I guess feedback or trader rating would have to be 100%. but what is the total feedback.

Palantri leads our Hockey Card Universe with well over 1,000 trades. KidKanada is 2nd and closing fast at close to 1,000.

One of the Football or Baseball guys that started back in 2003 when we all did has some crazy number over 2,000 I believe.

There is never a reason for a negative unless you encounter a thief on here, or if somebody is using negative feedback as a bargaining tool. If this happens, the mods can assist you in having your own negative erased.

Unbelieveable that anyone can amass that many trades. I would say that if you have that many you are a SERIOUS collector.

Serious movers of cards for sure, but don't know the size of their own collections. Palantri announced yesterday that he's quitting Hockey for a while. I know KidKanada is selling a lot on eBay and moves a ton of cards in and out and looks to be having some success.

I have only 240 trades on here after 8 years, granted I took almost 2 years off, but 70% of my trades have been for cards to re-sell, and cards I know I can sell away from the board.

In terms of actual cards for myself, the number of trades for my own collection is less than 50. I have much less interest these days simply because eBay has gone from an Auction Deal site, to a Retail Showcase.

Game-Used is also responsible. Why else would somebody be charging $599.00 for a Bobby Ryan UD Rookie Materials Jersey?

There aren't many bargains on eBay now, as the sticker-shock issues like Black, Superlative, Premier, Ultimate and The Cup have every potential seller thinking that his or her cards is automatically worth 200-500% more than the highest price anyone is willing to pay.

I make money on eBay because I deal in niche cards. My money is made exclusively on almost Parallels, Inserts, and older value Rookies that are affordable, the timing of the sales, and timing of hot player inventories and when I choose to sell those cards.

If I were only to break boxes of High-End product and try to sell off those Rookies at an unheard of price, I would have been broke over the past 5 years. If you notice eBay gougers, they don't sell more than 40-60 cards per month. When I'm not lazy and get after it. I have sold as many as 200 cards per month. It all depends on how hard I'm prepared to work at it.

When the bells and whistles go away, only the true collector is left, and he still embraces those hard to find cards, that not everybody wants, and NOT always game used.

I have a little over 1,200 recorded deals combined on the online sites I use. I have never received a negative. At least 1,000 of those deals were for cards going directly into my collection. To me, that is what "collecting" is all about.

AMAZING stats for sure. Gretzky99 just posted a thread that he's hit 1000 feedback as well.

Definitely great members of the website here!

    I forgot about Gretzky99.

His story is even more amazing as his collecting focus is quite narrow compared to others with high totals. King's autos only.

Remarkable to say the least !!

2000 trades on SCF? That's almost unbelievable!
