Panini Blog: Kevin Durant Signed, Sealed, and Coming to You Soon
http://paniniamerica.wordpress.com/2...-be-delivered/

It’s been a busy couple of weeks for Oklahoma City Thunder überstar Kevin Durant.
During that span, Panini America’s newest exclusive trading card ambassador has averaged more than 26 ppg game while leading the Thunder to five victories in six games. And when he wasn’t helping Oklahoma City bolster its playoff position, he was busy leaving his mark behind the scenes – pen in hand — on an absolutely stunning array of new Panini America basketball cards.
Durant’s handsome handiwork – the drool-inducing results of his first extensive trading card signing with the company – is sure to be well received by those collectors who either a) pulled a Durant redemption card from 2010-11 Absolute Memorabilia, b) will pull his live Significant Signatures autographs from 2010-11 Classics, or c) are lucky enough to find one of those sweet Private Signings cards (see gallery below) from a future Panini America launch.
That appropriate response to seeing the images that follow is likely to be the same one used to describe seeing Durant himself in action: “Wow!”
Habs fan and collector! Current PC's: Nick Suzuki, Cole Caufield, and Lane Hutson...., and of course...

the Star Gazing and Hoopla inserts are vomit inducing. i want a Durant auto as much as the next guy, but some of these cards are just horrid.
"if we throw an autograph and a jersey swatch, they will eat it up no matter waht the rest of the card looks like"

I agree with Jef...the Absolute cards are all eye-sores...I for one will not be touching any of the Absolute products.

Maybe a Durant collector can chime in on this but, his sigs appear to be really inconsistent and almost sloppy...
The 'coveted' Private Signings card being the worst of the bunch.

His auto is all over the place in general. Sometimes it's a real skinny "K," sometimes it's a smooth "KD" with a loop, sometimes you can't even tell there's a "D" in the sig.
I don't think any of the cards are too bad looking, but there isn't anything there where I see it and go "I have to have that." I would take any/all of them, but I'm not paying $150-$250 a pop on them when they're pretty much all the same. Not a huge fan of tiny circular patches. It's a shame though, because I think there was huge potential for that Star Gazing auto. If there was a jumbo 3-color square patch and the lightened area for the auto was clean as opposed to sloppy masquerading as cool/artistic/hip, it would've been a great card.
I think I'll just be saving my money for National Treasures KD singles.
