    April Fools Faker breakers

Are these April Fools faker breakers really funny? I see the Lol responses and I think to myself, i'm not even close to laughing right now.

Let me try too cuz I just found an unopened pack of 79-80 OPC under my desk....Wow a Gretzky RC! April Fools. Lol!!!

    Nah...still dumb

Maybe it would be funny to say LIVE break and not open anything at all. Watchers would wait and wait, they might even get mad. Is that considered Lol?

I thought it was creative myself. I'm not troubled by it in the least.

So stupid. Really see no point in it. If you're going to prank someone, make it actually funny and not just "LOL i broke a case of the cup and all I got was a stastny RC patch auto. JK april fools".

Sorry but I see no humor in these whatsoever.

I like to think of April Fools day as "Critical Thinking day".

Its one of those days where you're supposed to take everything with a grain of salt. Is that person really telling the truth? What evidence do they have to back it up? Are they trustworthy? Is this too good to be true?

Back in the day....I have no idea if critical thinking was prevalent in society since I was too young to exercise it myself. All I can say is that today, I meet too many people who don't look at a situation and say 'hrmm...'. Both young and old.

So, I do my best to contribute by pulling pranks on people for April Fools, even if they are fooled for only a second. I laugh when they are fooled, but I am also heartened when they are not.

If you are really incensed. Plan the best revenge ever & pull a prank yourself when April 1st rolls around again. Be devious, be clever, but most of all, be kind. Sometimes you fool someone else, sometimes you are the fool. Give and take with a light heart.

Get started now because you only have a year.

I enjoy a good lark. If someone wants to invest an hour of their time posting up a fake Cup break, and gets people to go along for it, let 'em rip...as long as it's before noon or else the joke's on you. Also, your fake Carey Price pulls are all belong to me. :)

I don't have a particular problem with it...if it's done right. Matt (reoddai) did a great one with his sale thread, and HI had a thread where someone said that Richard McWilliam was stepping down from UD(I caught that one early).

In regard to HammerHawks break thread, I DID call him out on it on the 6th post, so that should have been the first clue.

This is exactly what I did. Eric(HammerHawks) rarely opens any wax and focuses on buying singles. Plus, he would usually ask our opinion on what to buy beforehand

At that point, I knew it was a hoax. I can see where you could get lost though, because he was very specific with the pulls he got, so nice touch there. I still think 5 minutes is awfully quick to bust Cup tins though.

    All in good fun though

What I find the funniest is that you felt the need to post this thread after being fooled. Just calm down, realize that you got fooled and move on, nothing wrong with those threads. As others have said, it's almost always in good fun.

Kinda interesting how people question things in general on April 1st but not on other days. Someone could come on here on any other day and just grab a picture of a card they "pulled" and most people wouldn't question whether or not they actually pulled it. How would people react if a fake break happened in January? Just sayin'...

April Fools day is the single worst birthday to have when you're a kid.
You spend the whole first half of your day getting pranked while no one actually believes it's your birthday, then after noon every time you mention it's your birthday people tell you April Fools ends at noon and that's a lame joke anyway.

    *sigh*
