Ever ask college players for GU items?
There are some local college baseball players I've been watching the past few years. I was thinking about asking a few of them for some GU items. Anyone have any success doing this? I was thinking but unsure because they probaly have less materials than MiLB and MLB guys. Perhaps at the end of the season would be a better time to ask?

i used o go to Gophers baseball games ll the time. I got to know a lot of the players well. I even got to subsitute bat boy for a series. When It comeo equpiment most players dont like to give away their stuff, because f the fact that they do have a limited supply during the span of a season. There are are few things they do have surpluses of though. Batting gloves, arm/wrist bands, sun glasses to name a few. A lot of it depends on the players, team and such. It never hurts to ask, What is the orst that could happen? they say no? Foul balls are a plenty t most college games btw.. hope this helps!

Depends on the school and the type of funding the team gets...at least that is what I imagine. My brother's friend played football at West Virginia...they were showered with an ungodly amount of stuff. When he finished there he had an attic full of nike gear and apparell that he never even wore.
I would imagine smaller schools/programs, less funding...more guys footing the bill for their bigger more expensive items.
