Blowing up cards to get signed?
No, not blowing up like a bomb lol
The only picture I can find is an old card from the 50's, I was thinking of blowing it up to 4x6 is this a good idea? Has anyone done this before?

That sounds like a cool idea. A real cool idea. I think it would be neat seeing a lot of those old cards blown up to a 4x6 or 5x7...
You just gave me an idea. I was looking for a Ryne Sandberg photo to do a custom. Can't find a good one. Just saw a sweet looking mid eighties topps card today in a store...looks like I will be going back to get it....

I've done that with the old stuff from the 50's and 60's. I find unless you have a direct scan of the card, the quality does not come out well when you blow up the cards. So, the older cards that usually do not have the most clear pictures to begin with turn out better. Otherwise if you try to do a screen capture of a new card. You loose the resolution and they become picsualted.

I have a buddy who blows cards up to 11x14s and gets them printed to be signed. I can't remember the exact steps but I know that you need to scan the card in at a high DPI (I think it is) and then you can print it.
But it is possible.
