    autos vs gus

    why are autos worth more then gus and why are they more populkar then gus?

    Perhaps because players are typically harder to get autographs from, whereas most players wear many jerseys in their careers that companies can cut into many little pieces and put on cards.

    A full game-worn jersey is more comparable to an autograph.

    There's 4 billion jersey cards made of each player each year. And they don't have the arms to sign 4 billion autos. :)

    I don't remember what show I saw it on, maybe it was on ESPN like 3-4 years ago, but it showed Brian Urlacher and the GU jerseys... It was kinda funny to me at the time because it was Upper Deck handling it and basically he put on a Jersey, and threw it in a box. Those were going to the UD manufacturing to be cut for cards and other memorobilia...

    At that point I was no longer collecting cards, but after hitting a Teixeira GU in a 2004 Fleer Tradition pack I bought because I was bored, I was hooked once again... I happen to prefer the GU, but "older" GU, like my Sweet Spots Classics Clemente GU pants...
