i agree went to the hobby shop with a friend of mine who doesnt collect and got a box of bowman paltinum and showed him the fat pack so i could open it last so he asked me why i didnt just find the fat pack and only buy that and i proudly told him that only a-holes do that

I agree for the most part. We can't really go back though since the base cardboard was so devalued during the late 80's and early 90's that the "hits" are all that keep some modern collectors buying.

Personally not a huge fan of all the color, I like game used and autos but don't see the need in 8 different refractors of the same freakin card

I don't know how companies can't hide the hits better with all the technology today. There has to be a way to do it.

Also makes you wonder what hobby shop owners are doing when nobody is in the store. Probably pack searching? Find all the good ones, put them in the display case, then throw all the base stuff in common boxes for people to search thru? Possibility? I'm sure.

Funny you said that, i have seen opened boxes with 1 or 2 packs missing and then seen some nice hits in there display case from the same product, could it be fishy maybe but can't prove it, a buyer could have picked the packs then traded the hit for some...
