NBA Players Game-Used Gear? (plus a GU success story)

After every Sacramento Kings game my friends and I always try to get Demarcus Cousins headband because he always throws it into the crowd or hands it to someone after the game. Anyways, a couple of weeks ago we were planning on going to the Spurs @ Kings game but I couldn't get tickets so one of my friends went without me and just bought the ridiculously overpriced (at least compared to CraigsList and Stubhub) box office tickets. It was a horrible game, they were down by 20 the entire game no suprise, but my friend got his headband, the one game I didn't go to with him. It's pretty awesome, now he's going to try and collect game-used headbands and try to get players on away teams game-used stuff. Next game it's my turn to get his headband!

Has anyone else had any success getting players game-used gear (headbands, wristbands, etc)? If so, what did you get and how, and what other NBA players do you know of that give away there stuff after games?

This is what I would do if I were trying to get arm and head bands after games. I'd take a piece of poster board and make a sign that looked like a backboard with the writing, "Shoot your head band here!" or something like that. Attached to the poster board I would have some sort of net that stuck out like a rim so the players could literally throw their head band into your sign. Or cut out the section in the middle of the poster and put a net behind it. Knowing how much players like to fool around it could catch on as a game they all play after games to see who can make it into your sign.

I've gotten Melo, Samuel Dalembert, gerald wallace, marvin williams, david anderson and many others my brothers gotten reggie miller and many others. also the one time i went to a kings game (in NJ) my bros friend gets Demarcus cousins head band.

dwight howard threw out his jersey, his shoes and I think an armband. Someone I was there with got one of the shoes.

That reminds me I've gotten game used shoes from Arenas and me signed them for me. Also i got game used shoes from a bench warmer i don't know but they are huge.

ive had bobby brown tell me he was going to give it to me after pregame warmups.

me:"hey bobby, can i have your headband"
bb: "now?"
me: "ya"
bb: "ok holdon after i get some shots in"

by the time he finished shootaround, he ran into the tunnel without giving it to me.
