topps and bowman what a rip off

anyone do any redemptions for thepit.com what a crock of crap. they charge you 5 dollars to recieve a 15 dollar card. I pulled a redemtion out of a box topper a marquis cooper and after you fund the account they let you know it is going to cost 5 bucks to get your 15 dollar card what ever happened to just getting them in the pack? then they give you the option of getting 1.70 funded for your card? 1.70? unbelievable!! I am pissed about this and thepit is definitly the worst I have seen I mean if they are gonna charge you 5 dollars you think they could find a way to put descent players in the redemption. I could have bought another pack for that 5 dollars. anyways if you feel the way i feel you should email the pit so we can let them know how we feel as collectors and business people.
    thanks

Back when I worked in a shop, my boss would sell the box tops with the uncirculated cards. When I opened a box of Bowman Football, I bought the box topper for like 10 or 15 bucks. The UNC was crap and the redemption was worse. Can't recall the name, but the card wasn't even worth the time I spent entering the code on thepit.com.

This is just another way for topps/bowman to get money out of it's customers. Instead of either doing 2 box toppers or 1 with 2 UNCs, we'll give them a redemption and charge them $5 to get it. With all the other redemptions i've gotten from Topps, I never had to pay anything other than the postage to send it in. Now you want me to pay $5 for a crap UNC? Nah. Their little fake stock market game they have going there is a little stupid too IMHO.

If they want to make more money, all they have to do is show how their customer service and redemption turn around time is better than UD. That should help.

yeah i have one of those thepit.com uncirculated redemptions for a will poole bowman card...it says it is worth like 1.50 or some crap, but i can't have it shipped to me because i have $0 in my thepit.com account. it's annoying, i would really like that card as a dolphins collector. i don't mind redemptions, but why can't it be a NORMAL redemption, where i send in the card, and they send me mine.

i had a couple, i went to the website which was incoherent and completely a mess to navigate, i closed it out and threw away the "redemption" even tho its better described as a hustle.
