72 Summit Series
Obviously, Paul Henderson's goal to win the Summit Series in 1972 in Moscow will stand out as the most important moment in the series.
But what is your opinion on other memorable moments from this classic eight game series.
Mine is Phil Esposito falling on the ice during the player introductions.
Yours?

I'm not old enough to have watched it live, but I've seen all the games, read lots about it.
The Henderson Goal, like you mentioned, is the obvious one.
Esposito's interview, where he basically called out Canada for booing them (after Game 4)..... that would also be one of the big ones for me.
And Bobby Clarke's slash on Kharlamov. Maybe memorable for the wrong reasons, but still very memorable.

My memory of this series comes from being a little kid and recognizing the impact it seemed to have on everyone around me......it was what people talked about and planned there day around. Similiar to the Vancouver Olympics.

CBC showed Yonge street at one point during the series and it was deserted. So eerie to see it now!

The Esposito speech was way before my time, but talk about compassion and enthusiasm. Thanks for the good old-time hockey talk Mr. Price.
