    Cases damaging cards?

I was told by someone that these brick-like 4 screw acrylic 1/2" or 1" cases used for a single card can actually damage a card? Has anyone else ever used these to protect any of there cards to find out that it did damage the card it was supposed to protect?

I was also told that these one-touch magnet cases are the best thing to protect your most valuable cards? Last time I used these (15 years ago) some of the non-glossy cards would rattle a little in the recessed place for the card, just wondering if this has since changed to improve protection.

if u are using the receded 4 screw screw downs they aren't that bad.....now the non receded ones i put the card first in a penny sleeve then place it in the 4 screw holder..that way the card won't stick to the plastic when u are tightening the screws up..always tighten them up..examine the corners of the cards and unscrew the screws until the pressure is off the corners

Yes, the 4 screw ones press down on the card, making the surface stick to the case and off the card, leaving blank spots. Happened to me back in the day with a Kidd GU.
Also, honestly, I feel like Top Loaders/Penny sleeves/Team Bags are the best protection for cards, because in one touches they still move around possibly ruining the edges, and also sometimes the one touch can be a little too tight, and if theres a little something on the card like say a little fiber, then it leaves an indent on the card. I have had cards slightly ruined in one touches or screwdowns, but never in a toploader. Just my opinion.
