Also, I always say "Thanks and God Bless" at the end, and sign it

My success rate is actually better with typed than handwritten, though I'm sure it's just a coincidence or it goes to show that it doesn't matter much. I'll still hand write a few, especially to guys that don't always sign. I don't like to sound to emotional and corny in the letters, but you have to let them know you actually care.. I think everyone is pretty much on point with how to write a good letter, everyone has their own thing and do what works for you, but when people send a Post-It with a "Sign this please? Thanks" it kind of gives a greedy ungrateful vibe to the autograph hobby.

Hand written always, 2-3 paragraphs. I usually add a little humor in my letters and always use phrases such as; "I would be most grateful", "Tremendous respect for the accomplishments they made in their careers"-such as.....,
And I also give them the link to my website so they can check out my collection.
