I'm not going to claim Luongo should win this, I don't think he should, but:
1-Playoffs don't come into play for individual awards, as pointed out earlier.
2-Every Canuck has played absolutely terribly in the last 2 games. Anyone who says the losses belong to Luongo (or any one Canuck) hasn't a clue what they're talking about.

Going by stats alone, I think Thomas will take home his second Vezina, especially the SV%.
The two biggest stats I think for the Vezina are GAA and SV%. Wins are a distant third. Theodore claim to the Vezina in 2001-02 is an example of this: good GAA and SV%, but not the best W-L.

Carey Price is not nominated? Huh, I think Thomas or Rinne will win the Vezina then, but Luongo has impressed, too.

I'm not a Bruins fan, but I can't imagine Thomas not winning the award.
Rinne's numbers aren't far off, but Thomas posted what I believe is the highest save percentage since they started tracking that statistic. He has looked shaky at times against the Habs, but whenever I had a chance to watch him during the regular season he was outstanding. I'm a Habs fan and I think Price had an amazing year especially given that heavy workload.......he may have deserved a nomination, but Thomas deserves the award IMO.
As for Price leading in wins, that's a pretty arbitrary stat that depends not only on a goalie's workload, but also on offensive support.

Habs were 23rd in offence. Of the 16 teams in the playoffs, only the LA Kings scored fewer goals.
Habs fan and collector! Current PC's: Nick Suzuki, Cole Caufield, and Lane Hutson...., and of course...

Hey Rich - I wasn't using that as an excuse for downgrading Price's performance, it's just more of a general statement. Obviously Price didn't benefit from that in the same way as, say, Bob Welch winning the 1990 Cy Young award over Clemens.....I know that's a baseball reference, but it's the first example that popped into my head. Price did benefit from workload, though - I'm sure Thomas would have had 40+ wins if he started 70 games. Again, though, I don't think that would sway me either way.
I'd still argue that Thomas was the better goalie, although I believe Price was the more valuable player to his team. I don't think those need to be one and the same.

Depending on how the GM's see it... Rinne could get this.
Like stated before, Rinne is the main reason the Preds are in the playoffs. Thomas has tons of star power and talent in front of him, Rinne doesn't. I would like to think the GM's who vote on this will notice that.
I'll probably be wrong, but this is my opinion.

Thomas and Luongo are the obvious 2. while i think Lundqvist should've been in the running, i can see why Rinne is there as well. the only thing that bothers me about Thomas and Luongo is their # of games played. while it isn't their fault their team's have very capable backups, i think that should've factored into it.
anyone who thinks Price should be in the running is nuts. he played great but there were others that played better. the 3 nominees all had better numbers in the GAA and SV%. then Lundqvist and even Quick are above him on that list too. the 2 categories Price did exceed in Wins and Shutouts, others put up similar (if not better) numbers and in less games. and his importance to Montreal's success DOES NOT matter; that's for the HART trophy. (which i do believe he should be voted on; there's no disputing that)

We could do the "if" game till we're all blue, blanc, rouge in the first, though. As I said above, no matter. If he gets a Hart nom, all is forgiven.
LOL @ the assessment of a person's sanity in the post just above mine.
