    PC Help!

Hello all, I've decided to open the idea of collecting one specific player...I am debating between Rob Ray (childhood fav.) or Jhonas Enroth...I'm sure Enroth will have more value in the long term but I'm leaning towards Ray...anywho...when you find your total for the amount of cards a player has...what do you include? I had two key card types I'm not sure about. Cards that are the same but just printed in different langs. (English and French version) and 1/1....so for those people that have XXX/800 in their signature, does that total among (the 800 number in this case) include 1/1's? also, any other pointers? I figured I would do ray because the cards would be cheap, I already have a ton, and he was my fav. player growing up. After I get his, then I would move on to another player.

I personally don't include 1/1's in my sig total, because I don't think I'll ever acquire one.

On my site, I have a total without 1/1's and another total for just 1/1's on their own. Take a look.

As for a player, I would go with your childhood fave. Think of all those great looking 90's cards, too! Hope this helps.

For example Denis Potvin has 587 cards produced that includes 1/1s. I include the number of 1/1s because every card counts. But that is my opinion it is really up to you, how you want to keep track in your sig etc...Also a big mistake people make when going for player collecting is going by value instead of what you will enjoy collecting the most. Because really unless your collecting one of the most demanded players in the hobby then your collection will not gain value. If you like Rob Ray better then Enroth then I say go with Ray.

I coded some player stats and print run count down per player.

    Rob Ray

    Jhonas Enroth

Make it easier to see each player break down of cards they have. Those come from our master cards database.

I fix the link for Rob Ray

You can saech any player here:

    https://www.sportscardforum.com/scf/player/page/1

We are attempting to link all cards via a numeric index. In most case, if a player say 0 cards. click the link player and it will link the cards. If you collect that player you can add him as a PC player and in My Inventory Tab, you will see your players link appear.

This is freshly coded. Most good long time player picturing in mulyiplayer cards might need tweeking from the OPG staff to build a complete list of a player.

If we search Patrick Roy, it will not pick up cards like
    Brodeur/ Roy / luongo.

To catch these we need to edit the player and add search string to make more complete index list of a player's cards. If this is the case then just request a OPG staff to work on adding these for your favorite players.

Currently we have about 1/3 of players that are index and they are in a primary fashion. FOr most it will do the job but HOF and big recruit will need some staff to work the list to get all of his cards in the index.

Over time, it possible that some newer release cards are not in the index, then you can run the link player cards and it will tell you is cards where added.

For Panini and UD new release most cards should be already link but you can always try to run it to make sure all from the new release are include.

This is why we let member index their own player but only staff can add additional search string like "/ Roy" will grabs many cards.
