So I went with my family to the Red Sox vs Angels game on Saturday night in Anaheim. After the game my mom wanted to go out and have a couple drinks and I suggested that we go to the bar in the Westin hotel. Had a few drinks and hung around for a while. Saw Carl Crawford and Adrian Gonzalez walk through the lobby and get in an elevator but didn't want to chase them down. Saw Tim Wakefield and Darnell McDonald in the bar but Wakes was with a bunch of friends and didn't bug him, and I had no cards for McDonald to sign. David Ortiz was having a drink in the bar and before we left I asked him to sign a card and he did. He was as nice as ever even though I kinda surprised him. It was so weird hanging in a hotel bar with Red Sox players all over and being the only person who asked a player for an autograph in 90 minutes. Maybe the other people wearing Red Sox hats and shirts in the hotel were friends and families of the players or just didn't notice the players everywhere.
