CaliforniaSoxfan - I can understand not signing a certain card for some reason. But this is Panini so this card is going to be Sticker auto's!!! They already had them in stock but instead of fulfilling a redemption that I've been waiting for 7 months they insert them into new products.
The thing that bugs me even more is that they're just pushing me to the side - like well you can get a replacement or wait but we don't have an eta so you could be waiting a while. And I understand if they were guys that don't usually sign but Magic Kareem and Worthy are in every product Panini puts out

My question is, how can they put an expiration date on these things, thats kind of like ripping the customer off.

adadas101 - That's exactly what I said on the phone. She said there's no ETA on redemptions then I said but you put expirations on them!? She then tried to get me to take another replacement. If I wait and 2010-11 National Treasures has a card like this I'm going to be very upset!!!

I used to stand up for Panini, but I can't anymore there are just too many complaints lately and all of them are legitimate.I'm waiting on 3 low end redemption auto's so I haven't bothered with them,What panini had better realize is that they are not always gonna have a monopoly on the nba contract and if they don't change for the better they might lose theirs.

I feel for you. That's an awesome card. If they were stand-up, they'd go above and beyond to make you happy - I.E. give you a card as good as or better (not easy to do, I know), plus another awesome card or cards, since they're the ones who messed up, instead of making excuses.
As mentioned, you like the Lakers, which makes it tougher, but they still need to make it right. It's been eight months, right? Man, oh man.
One of the reasons I don't buy many packs anymore - redemptions can be a pain!I'm always looking to trade cards for original Nintendo (NES) games. Always looking for 86-87 Fleer basketball - even commons - the more, the better :) Also, when sending cards out, please make certain the cards are well-protected and well-packaged.

I hear you on this one. Even if the redemption is expired, they should give you something in return.
I heard a few ideas at the Industry Summit, one might be to put longer expiration dates/fulfillment time-frames on the card, instead of every card being the same. If they know its going to take 1+ years to get a triple auto from the Lakers crew, than say that on the card (because chances are they knew it was going to take a long time)
Being a Lakers fan too, I'd hang in there on this one. Since it hasn't been a full year since release of 09/10 NT ... I'd give it until at least the Summer time. I know James Worthy works the Lakers TV in Southern California, so its possible that he has been busy.
If it makes you feel a little better about Panini, they have paid James Worthy for these signatures already & have a contract with him to send them back by now ... trust me, they want them to get sent back too ... its just tough with schedules. I think all companies could do a better job at training CS staff to better inform people ... and they should put longer redemption time-frames on the cards/website.
Good luck, I think this card is worth waiting as long as possible for.
