Equality ?????
If Lucic deserved 5 and a game for this hit, what the h e double hockey sticks are the ref's doing about Mike Richards and some of the others. I have seen many worse hits get 2 or LESS than what Lucic got. Should have been 2 for boarding IMO. And no, I am NOT a Bruins fan.

Yeah, Looch had his hands down, made contact with the body, Spacek just turned towards the boards, I can see the 5 Min major, but the Game I thought was overkill (the blood got him the game), there was no intent on that play, which was obvious, where as Richards got a good full speed Two handed push on Connelly, which I thought was VERY intentional.

I think the fact that Lucic got the game was more in terms of long term damage control. The ref was just being proactive. However I'd personally be shocked if the league suppends him past this game.

Ya, it was just a high hit on the body to a defenceless opponent from the blind side that hit him right between the numbers. Nothing wrong with that.

Didn't say it was a good hit. Just saying that I have seen a lot worse get less penalty or none at all.

The only consistent thing about NHL officiating is the inconsistency.
Habs fan and collector! Current PC's: Nick Suzuki, Cole Caufield, and Lane Hutson...., and of course...

They have been a little stranger than normal in the Playoffs so far.

complete bull, pardon my french. It seems like blind-sided open ice hits are perfectly fine, but whenever its close to a board, WATCH OUT

As a Habs fan I was happy he got 5 and a game. I probably would have been screaming at my TV if he had only gotten 2. If it wasn't my team playing, I would have considered either call reasonable. The problem with comparing some hits is the simple fact it is different Refs making the call. Everything is so subjective, it's hard to get the consistency fans want.
