They made that look way too easy. How brutal were the Flyers as a team in this series? Outscored 20-7 - even though Boucher & Bobs were terrible, 7 goals in 4 goals ain't gonna win you a whole lot of hockey games.
I will be cheering very hard for Montreal South....er, Tampa Bay, in the next round, but tonight, it's hats off to the Bruins.
Habs fan and collector! Current PC's: Nick Suzuki, Cole Caufield, and Lane Hutson...., and of course...

I didn't see that one coming. Grats to Boston and Philly get yourself a goalie while Bob develops and your golden. When you have no confidence in your goalie you can't play your normal game, too worried every single mistake will end up in the back of the next. On a side note now that there is little to no chance Kabs will be signed by Boston unless he does something amazing in the next few weeks I hope you make it to the Cup so we can have your next years second round draft pick =) GL!

Philly still taking their chances on goaltending in the playoffs. It seems they cannot get anything done without Pronger on the blueline. Without solid goaltending and defense, the Flyers will probably remain a once a decade contender for the Cup.
Krecji was contained when he played against the Habs, and then gets nine points versus Philly. Talk about a considerable difference in the level of defense..

well....the team that wanted it more won.
u cant go deep in the playoffs with goaltending and defence like that.
i honestly thought that the o.t. loss in game 2 was the backbreaker...and it was.i feel 4 snider...he has no problem strokin a big cheque 4 players that can bring it....and there were alot of noshows!
boston played great...and the flyers were out hit, outworked, outscored and outwilled.
i honestly thought there was 2 much pride on my team 2 get swept....i was wrong :(

That was the problem. You can say what you want about the goaltending, but their defense was atrocious. Carle was a -8 in the playoffs and looked like he belonged in the AHL. the forwards couldnt score, and couldnt play D.
yes there were. And Ilya Bryzgolov or Thomas Vokun cant fix that.
Im tired of hearing people cry that this was all because we had a carousel of goaltenders. There is no goalie in the history of the game that could have taken this team far in the playoffs. They were dismantled, and frankly, they deserved it. They need to get guys in there next year that will play hard, all the time, and buy into Lavs' system, its been proven to be able to win.
