My HOF and future HOF auto PC (200+) video

Hi,

Just bought an iPad 2 and was playing around with the iMovie app. Decided to make a little video showing off my collection. My collection is focused on: HOF, 3000 hit, 3000 k, 500 hr, 300 win, and future HOF'ers. The first 2/3 of the vid is HOF, but then it switches to guys not yet inducted or current/past stars. Then I switch over a bit to some g/u cards which I will be building up slowly. Lastly, I have a thing for Jim Thome Prime Patches cards, so I swipe them up when I can.

I don't really go to shows or that kinda thing, so I never get a chance to really show it off. I keep the cards in magnetic holders and in cardboard boxes.

Right Now I think I am at 153 HOF autos and over 60 others. Some guys were tougher than others to get (some guys died in the 50's) I stick to authenticated card companies or PSA/DNA only. I don't trust them otherwise.

Guys who I am missing and want to get? Ichiro, Goose Goslin, Satchel, Z Wheat, R Faber, and jeez, who doesnt want Ruth?! ah, one day haha

WOW that is an amazing collection and nice video!! I'm doing the same thing with baseball HOF autographs. I only started piecing mine together from the middle of last year so I have a LONG way to go. I do have about 50 or so though. This was a joy to watch since I'm doing the same thing and just like you my cards are in magnetic holders and I only do authenticated card companies or PSA/DN. I do cards, balls,index cards, and 8X10's. Again REALLY nice set your building and good luck with getting it completed someday. Not sure how old you are but I'm 36 and hope I will have enough time to complete mine to hand down to my 3 year old daughter someday.

I'm 27, and started it like 3 years ago. I collected cards when I was like 15 in the 90's and then stopped at some point. My father sells alot of junk on ebay and his co-worker asked if he could sell a card for him. Both may father and I were fascinated cuz it was the ruth gu card I have. I was hooked. There's a big difference between fancy inserts w/ serial #'ing and cards with actual history on them. To me, autos > gu cards because once they are dead, that's it (and more personal). Again, I don't really buy boxes and stuff, I just buy on eBay. You can get good deals if you know how to search, what to look for, and when to bid. I've become a pro lol. Theres a few autos I'd really like which will put me at about 160 hof'ers, but after that everyone is major $$. At this point I am more focused on a house, so my collection will only be growling very very slowly.lol

Either way, build it up and post it!
