Is COMC pricing themselves out of the competition?
I was going to buy a card over there and now its over $3 just to ship one card w/ a toploader. For two cards it's almost $4. That seems a bit high when most dealers on eBay are down to $2-2.50 per card and I've never received a card w/o a toploader there (I just bought 7 cards from the same seller and he charged $2.50 for shipping and then another one I bought 11 cards from and he charged $4, COMC would have murdered me w/ their rates). I was hoping they would be a nice alternative to eBay but their shipping charges are getting a bit out of hand for me. I think I'll stick w/ eBay and sportlots. Is it just me??

for one or 2 cards they may be more expensive, but I think where it saves money is when you buy multiple cards from multiple sellers. Say you buy 5 cards from 5 different sellers. On COMC it would be $4.25 for shipping. On ebay, it would be atleast 10-15 dollars since they were from different sellers.

They're sales/members/cards uploaded/cards sold go up every quarter, so I'd say no..
Like the above poster said, a few cards may be alittle on the high side..but if you buy more than 2 cards its cheaper for the most part than ebay..10 cards from 10 different sellers on COMC would be $6 or $7 on COMC, 10 cards from 10 different ebay sellers would be $25-$35 in shipping on ebay.Hidden Content

spoodini- You can do that?? I didn't know that. That might be a good idea. I keep finding only one or two cards I need/want at a time. Do you pay for them and then request shipping whenever you have a bunch of cards in your inventory?

Yes; I have been on COMC for about 5 months. I bought about 100 cards that I wanted over a period of 4 months. I waited and then got them shipped.

Yes, that's the way I do it. I typically buy a few cards a week that I need for my sets or my Drew Brees PC and I just wait until i've got around 50+ cards ready to ship then I use the Bulk Shipping option ($5 for the first 10 cards & 15˘ for each additional card). I've never had any issues with the Bulk Shipping and they generally don't take more than a week or so to get to me.
