How to ship sport cards cheap and safe?
Hi!
I am selling a lot of premium cards soon (look at my other thread) and I want to know how much do you think it will cost me to send one card from europe (Germany or Austria as a sample) to the USA in a safe way?
How would you dispatch the card in order that the card will arrive at the buyer in perfect condition?
Thanks for your help!
Thomas

Well from US to Europe it's like $2 so maybe same way back, best to ask your local PO tbh mate ...
And for cheapish cards like $25 or under just put the card in a penny sleeve and then in a top loader, and send in a bubble mailer, may also be worth sellotaping two bits of cardboard around the top loader for extra protection ....
For more expensive cards I would post them in snap down cases :)
Hope that helps, any more questions feel free to ask

That helped a lot, thank you!
Do you think shipment is realistic for more expensive cards in a snap down case for 4,90 EUR to the usa? It sounds like it will cost me more, maybe 10 EUR. I don't want to pay the shipping costs on my own. :D

If I was you i would put any old card in a snap down, them wrap in cardboard, and put in a bubble mailer, maybe stuff mailer with shredded paper ? And take it to your local post office and ask how much it will cost to send ... Once you find out bring the package home with you and unwrap you get your card back, then just charge people buying your cards same as POst office, that way your not losing money

Hi!
Thanks again for your help. I've looked at the auctions of the other bidders and it seems like about 6 dollar shipping costs to the US should be fine. If I pay a little more it's not a big problem but I think it should be alright.
I've bought some bubble mailers today and I am going to ship the cards between 2 paper boards and put some shredded paper in the bubble mailer. This should be ok, don't you think?

$6 seems alright to me mate, if your selling high end cards i cant see the buyer minding this price ... although if the cards your selling are worth around $5-$10 people might be reluctant to pay the $6
And that method sounds fine to me mate, if had many packages arrive to me in the UK from the USA all packed different ... some in bubble mailers, some in plain white envelopes, and none have ever come damaged ! your method sounds perfect, and the recipient of the card will be happy as it shows youve put thought into P&P ...
Good luck selling your cards mate, hope i helped !
