Derrick Rose Market Saturation

A couple weeks ago, if you were shopping for Rose autos on ebay there'd be no more than 2 and a half pages of cards to look through. Today, the day after he's officially named MVP, ebay now has 9 pages of D-Rose autos. So if you've been shopping around for a rose auto and haven't been able to pick one up due to high prices, believe it or not, right now is a good time to buy. The saturation of rose stuff on the secondary market is going to bring his prices down a bit.

So to those who thought they were gonna make an extra buck on their Rose autos after he was named MVP, kudos to you

It's Blake Griffin for the 2nd half of the season.

Unless the Bulls win the title I wouldn't buy any Rose items - you'll be able to get them all cheaper in August.

Awards don't mean anything when they are foregone conculsions - like Griffin and ROY - the actual winning of the award didn't mean anything. Had Dwight Howard won the MVP in a surprise then maybe his cards jump - everyone expected Rose to win it.

All people are seeing now is Rose, while doing a good job of carrying Chicago at 25/8 per game, they also see him shooting 37% from the field and averaging almost 4 turnovers per game.

That doesn't mean Rose hasn't been a monster - he literally carried Chicago in beating Indiana - but he has shown some flaws and he looks exhausted at this point.

He was selling so high that people knew there would be a fall - just like Griffin National Treasures or any other RC Auto. His Crown when I sold it was going for $350 - now you can get one for $225 which is much more realistic.

Point being - Rose is awesome - but his SPA should be a $750 card until he gets even better - not a $1,000 card - and people are realizing it.

Ya, what's been already said. The award really doesn't do anything when it was know over a month ago it was going to happen. The reason why his autos went so high is because people were hanging onto them tight and not too many would surface. When they would surface they'd be overpaid for. Now, because everybody held onto them thinking they'd get more money for them when he's officially named MVP everybody listed them all at once which is definitely going to backfire on those who waited.

Most of his cards like the RC refractors are priced many times over Beckett. The BV on beckett are a little low but at those Ebay prices I think I will do without or wait.
If anyone know of reputable shops who still have some 08-09 unopened wax at decent price, let me know. Need shipped to Canada. Thanks

I remember not being able to get $75 for the Contenders auto I pulled. Sold for $200. Less than some went for later but not unhappy one bit.
