YAY! Another new guy!!!

I just found and joined SCF last night while playing around on the interwebs. I've been collecting since my uncle gave me a complete set (in pages) of the beautiful 1986 Topps Baseball set. Though I got rid of most of my cards three or four years ago, I still have that bad boy at my dad's.

I got rid of a bunch of my riffraff (80's and 90's junk) about eight years ago and just kept some of what I had. I sold off the 2001 and 2002 Heritage sets I'd been trying to complete and most of what I had that I could get anything for when I moved to Indianapolis for work. I pared the collection down even more once I got here and stopped even looking at cards.

I'm getting back into the game with just a four row monster box (full of nothing but former WVU Mountaineers), a three row that is maybe a third full and one album which hosts the Russ Davis collection I worked on for years. Oh, and I can't forget some of the IndyCar memorabilia I've gathered over the past four years.

Being in Indianapolis over four years has gotten me to love IndyCar. It's a shame there's not more stuff out there for the series. I'm trying to find all of the old stuff from the 80's and 90's I can and I'm also working on the 2007 Rittenhouse IRL set of autographs. I think the Danica Patrick will end up being the bane of my existance. I just don't want to pay $200 for an auto of someone I can't stand!

I'm now just collecting for the pure fun of it and forgetting about the money aspect. Not sure how much I will be trading or buying, as I don't plan to bust boxes or anything so I won't have much that I consider "expendable." I wanted to join the community though.
