UFA and RFA's

Would love to take Gagne and Upshall back (at cut prices, haha)... trade Matt Carle and pick up Ehrhoff... Bergenheim is a UFA and his stock is for sure to rise after the Playoffs... Tanner Glass would make a great 4th liner.

Would love Weber or Doughty to take over Lidstrom's reign. Sadly, I will get neither.

I say it every year so ill say it again although i know it wont happen. Teemu Selanne would look great along side of Crosby or Malkin and would help their power play struggles.

Realistically the pens will probably only add 1 new forward. Maybe someone like Chad LaRose, Curtis Glencross, or Chris Higgins.

Zenon Konopka is another one I would love to have, though I suspect there will be a bidding war for his this offseason, and he'll end up on a more established team.

He loves the Island and the fact we didn't unload him the last trade deadline he appreciates.

For the Leafs:
RFAs: Bozak, Schenn, McArthur, Gunnarsson, Brunnstrom, Reimer
UFAs: Not sure nobody really jumps out for me this year. We need a #1 centre but there isn't one that jumps out that I would want. Maybe Brendan Morrison. Konopka would be a great centreman to have, but certainly isn't a #1 so the Leafs would have to move another c-man to accomodate him.

-Jovo as long as he takes a pay cut (which I think he will, he isn't worth 6mil anymore)
-Bryz (probably will just sign an extension. 4.5mil is enough for a goalie)

-Yandle who will probably get a pay rise. Will work if Jovo takes a cut.

I'd really like to see Max Talbot sign with Montreal, he's a solid player and a french canadian to boot which would please the hometown supporters. I'd also resign Auld as the backup as he did what was asked/expected of him this year.

I'd let Markov walk and sign Wiz...

For what its worth, i read somewhere that talbot was recently interviewed by a montreal radio station where he stated that he wanted to finish his career as a penguin but realized its a business. I guess the guy interviewing then asked if he would consider playing in montreal and he said that it wouldn't be his first choice. Again, not sure if this is accurate, a poster who is from montreal on a pens board i visit posted this.
