New insert idea for Upper Deck or Panini
What it would be is the top 100 point producing players of all time. Just number the card out of where their ranking is. Here is what the top 100 cards would look like:

I like it, but as long as some players remain on exclusive contract (like Gretzky & Howe), Only one company can do that & that's upper Deck.. Not sure who Panini has on exclusive, if anyone.

Good idea!!! Same concept could be applied to another insert set for goal scorers, etc. Same concept for goalies with wins. And print run related to the rank they have. Nice!

I was just trying to think of a set that would have some cards that have good value. We can all agree that if you got a card out of /90 and above or so they will most likely not have much value. Now if you get a very low numbered card it could be very highly valued.
Plus if they did it as a yearly thing they could switch to top 100 wins or shut outs for goalies or penalty minutes or goals or different categories that they could do it in five year loops.
1-career points
2-career wins(goalies)
3-career goals
4-career penalty minutes
5-career shut outs(goalies)
That way every five years the top 100 list will be quite different.
