The words were strong and forceful and to the point . . . and they were delivered by a kid who doesn’t look old enough to legally step inside the many beer halls in and around North Station.

“We’re not in it to go to the third round,” 22-year-old Brad Marchand announced. “We’re in it to go all the way.”

Could a Bruins [team stats] fan, of any age, argue with those words? The B’s had just completed their score-settling, monkey-off-their-backs, four-game sweep of the Philadelphia Flyers with a 5-1 victory last night at the Garden, and here now was this tough, feisty kid from Nova Scotia, who had scored four goals in the series, sounding like a grizzled, not-his-first-rodeo veteran as he made it clear that the big prize is the Stanley Cup. OK?
